AFC Ajax operates a tiered ticketing system with membership levels that determine your place in the queue. Face-value prices are genuinely affordable compared to Premier League clubs.

Face-value prices

• Behind the goal: around €25 to €35
• 1st ring seats: €40 to €70

The challenge? With over 150,000 SVA members competing for limited allocations, tickets sell out quickly in the early sales windows. This is especially true for AFC Ajax's biggest derby's, like Feyenoord (De Klassieker) and PSV (De Topper), where demand from the club's own members already outstrips supply.

SVA Membership (Supportersvereniging Ajax)

The SVA (Supporters Association Ajax) is your best route to tickets through official channels.

Ajax Club Card

The Club Card is the entry-level option: significantly cheaper but with limited usefulness for popular matches.

Important restrictions

• Your account must be verified
• You cannot hold a season ticket or SVA membership (those include ticket rights automatically)
• You cannot have a Club Card or membership with any other Eredivisie or Keuken Kampioen Divisie club

The final point is crucial. Dutch football operates a strict "one club" policy. If you have membership elsewhere, you'll need to cancel it first, which takes 5 to 10 working days to process through the KNVB.

For UEFA Conference League matches: Club Cards or memberships applied for after the draw deadline (typically late August) won't grant access to that competition's ticket sales.

Match-by-match sales: the real order

Understanding the actual sales sequence is essential. Here's how it works.

1. Season ticket holders: extra ticket purchase

   Season ticket holders get first access to buy additional tickets for friends and family. For most matches, they can purchase 1 extra ticket. For high-demand fixtures (PSV, Feyenoord, UEFA Conference League), this is limited to 1 extra ticket only.

2. SVA members sale (the main window)

   This is where most tickets go. SVA members (Ajax Life, Jonge Schare, Kids Club) can typically purchase up to 2 tickets per account. For De Klassieker, De Topper, and UEFA Conference League matches, this drops to 1 ticket per member. With 150,000+ members competing, tickets sell fast: the SVA sale is effectively where the match sells out for popular fixtures.

3. Club Card sale

   Whatever remains after the SVA sale goes to Club Card holders. For big matches, usually nothing or very limited single seats. For lower-profile Eredivisie games, you might find availability, but multiple tickets together are extremely rare.

4. General sale

   Theoretically exists but almost never happens for Eredivisie or European matches. Only relevant for early KNVB Cup rounds against lower-league opposition.

5. Away section (occasional)

   Sometimes additional tickets become available in the away section if the visiting club doesn't fill their allocation. This depends entirely on the opponent and isn't guaranteed.
